What are dentures?

Dentures are custom-made prosthetics that replace missing teeth and gum tissue. Today’s options are lighter, stronger, and more natural-looking than ever, with digital design that improves comfort and fit.

Complete (Full) Dentures

Replace a full arch (upper, lower, or both) when all teeth are missing.

Partial Dentures

Fill the spaces left by multiple missing teeth while preserving healthy ones.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Attach to dental implants for improved stability, chewing power, and confidence.

Immediate Dentures

Wear right after extractions so you don’t have to go without teeth during healing.

Fewer visits. Better fit. Digital from start to finish.

We partner with Dandy to deliver a streamlined, fully digital denture experience: comfortable intraoral scanning (no goop), precise design, and consistent lab quality— all backed by a 5-year warranty on Dandy-fabricated dentures.

Costs, insurance, and financing

Many PPO plans classify dentures as a major service and cover a portion after deductible— exact benefits vary by plan. We verify your coverage, give a clear estimate, and walk you through options. Not using insurance? Ask about Membership savings and monthly payments with Cherry.

PPO Insurance

Often partial coverage for dentures; frequency limits and waiting periods may apply.

Membership

Great for patients without insurance—discounts on treatment with transparent fees.

Financing

Split your portion into monthly payments with Cherry (subject to approval).

Coverage varies by insurer and plan; we’ll verify and provide a written estimate before care.

Care & maintenance

  • Rinse after meals; brush denture daily with a non-abrasive cleanser.
  • Soak overnight as directed to keep fresh and hydrated.
  • Clean gums and tongue daily; schedule periodic checks for fit and oral health.
  • Report sore spots: early adjustments prevent bigger issues.

Thinking about implant-support?

Implants can stabilize your denture for stronger chewing and fewer adhesives. Ask us if you’re a candidate.

Dentures — Frequently Asked Questions

What types of dentures do you offer?
Complete (full) dentures, partial dentures (resin or cast-metal framework), immediate dentures after extractions, and implant-supported overdentures that ‘snap’ in for added stability.
What is an implant-supported overdenture?
A removable denture that attaches to dental implants using snaps/locators or a bar. It’s much more stable than adhesive alone and helps reduce sore spots and slipping.
How long does it take to get dentures?
Conventional dentures typically take a few visits over several weeks. Immediate dentures are placed the same day as extractions, with a planned reline once gums heal.
Will dentures look natural?
Yes. We customize tooth shape, shade, and gum contouring to your face, smile line, and preferences. We’ll preview esthetics together before finalizing.
How do dentures stay in place?
A precise fit, balanced bite, and saliva create natural suction for full dentures. Partials use clasps on select teeth. Implant attachments provide the most secure feel.
What is a reline and when do I need one?
As gums change over time, a reline refreshes the inside surface for a snug fit. Many patients reline every 2–3 years; frequency varies by healing and bone changes.
Do I need adhesive?
A well-fitting denture may not need daily adhesive, but small amounts can improve confidence. If you rely on a lot of adhesive, a fit check or implant options may help.
How do I clean and care for dentures?
Rinse after meals, brush gently with a denture brush (no abrasive toothpaste), and soak nightly in a non-bleach cleanser. Brush your gums and tongue to keep tissues healthy.
Can I sleep in my dentures?
It’s best to remove them at night to let tissues rest and to reduce infection risk. If you must wear them overnight, clean thoroughly and give gums regular breaks.
What about sore spots or speech changes?
Mild pressure points and speech adjustments are common early on. We’ll fine-tune the fit and bite; most patients adapt quickly with guided practice.
How long do dentures last?
With good care, many last 5–10 years. Gums and bone change, so periodic relines and eventual replacement keep fit, comfort, and esthetics on track.
Are dentures covered by insurance?
Many PPO plans contribute toward complete/partial dentures and relines/repairs. Common codes include D5110/D5120 (complete), D5130/D5140 (immediate), D5211/D5212 (partial). We’ll verify benefits and provide a written estimate.
What if I want a fixed (non-removable) option?
Full-arch implant bridges are an option. We’ll compare fixed vs. removable outcomes, costs, maintenance, and timelines so you can choose confidently.
How many visits should I expect?
With digital scanning and a coordinated lab process, timelines are efficient. Most cases include a scan/records visit, try-in, and delivery—plus a follow-up for fine-tuning.
Can I eat normally with dentures?
There’s a short adjustment period. Start with softer foods and work up. Implant-supported dentures can significantly improve bite force and stability.
Do your dentures come with a warranty?
Yes—dentures fabricated through our Dandy digital lab partner are backed by a 5-year warranty . Lab terms apply; ask us for details or see Dandy Dentures.
