Wearing aligners day to day

  • Wear 20–22 hours/day; remove for anything besides water.
  • Rinse trays often; brush teeth before putting them back in.
  • Keep them in a ventilated case—don’t wrap in napkins (they vanish!).
  • Expect small attachments that help with controlled movements.

Ortho + health

Aligned teeth are easier to clean and may reduce the risk of uneven wear, chipping, and certain gum issues. We’ll pair your plan with preventive care so your smile looks great and stays healthy.

Insurance, costs, and payment options

Many PPO plans include orthodontic benefits with a lifetime maximum (often 50% coverage up to a set amount), especially for minors and sometimes for adults. Waiting periods and pre-authorization may apply. We’ll verify and provide a written estimate before you start.

PPO Insurance

We submit claims, track EOBs, and help you maximize any orthodontic benefit.

Membership

No insurance? Ask about our Membership for transparent fees and savings.

Monthly payments

Split your portion with flexible financing (subject to approval).

Coverage varies by plan and is not guaranteed. We’ll confirm details and get pre-authorizations when needed.

Clear Aligners — Frequently Asked Questions

How does Invisalign work?
A series of custom trays gently move teeth in small steps. You’ll switch to a new set every 1–2 weeks, guided by our digital plan.
How long does treatment take?
Most cases finish in 6–18 months, depending on goals, bite, and aligner wear time.
How many hours per day do I wear aligners?
Aim for 20–22 hours daily—remove only for eating, drinking anything besides water, and brushing/flossing.
Will I need attachments or elastics?
Many cases use small tooth-colored attachments for precise control; some bites benefit from elastics. We’ll review your plan before starting.
Is Invisalign painful?
Expect light pressure for a day or two when switching trays. Over-the-counter relief and cold water sips usually help.
How often are check-ins?
Typically every 6–10 weeks (in-office or virtual) to confirm fit, progress, and deliver the next aligners.
Can I eat and drink with aligners in?
Remove aligners for meals. Drink only water while wearing them to prevent staining and warping.
How do I clean aligners?
Rinse with cool water, brush gently with a soft brush, and use approved cleaning crystals or mild soap (avoid hot water).
What happens after Invisalign?
You’ll wear retainers to maintain your new smile. We offer durable Vivera retainers and will tailor a schedule for you.
How much does Invisalign cost? Does insurance help?
Fees depend on case complexity. Many PPO plans include orthodontic benefits; we’ll verify coverage and provide a written estimate and financing options.
Am I a candidate?
Clear aligners can treat crowding, spacing, and many bite issues. A consultation with digital scans will confirm the best plan for you.
